Beginning in 2017, we are starting a new program that rewards people who refer new clients to us. This is our way of saying “thank you” for taking the time to let us know that you have a friend, neighbor, or relative that needs our help. For details on the referral program, keep reading below.

Referral Program Rules and Prizes
Enter by clicking this link to complete the referral entry form. Each time you refer someone new to us, you can enter. If the referral sells or buys through The Davis Team, you get two more entries. There will be a drawing for prizes at the end of 2017. The Grand Prize will be a large screen TV. Depending on the number of entries received, additional drawings for prizes may be made, at the discretion of the Davis Team.
Cues to Look For
You may think that you don’t know anyone who is in the market to sell or buy a house. A lot of people don’t broadcast the fact that they are considering a change of residence. Statistically, about 15 % of the population moves every year. Theoretically, about that same percentage of your friends might be interested in selling and/or buying. Here is a handy list you can use. Additional cues are discussed in more depth below.
Do you have any friends who are preparing for the birth of a new baby? If so, they may need a larger home. The same could be said about someone who is planning to marry.
There are other reasons why people might want a larger home, too. Maybe they are better off financially than they were previously. An aging parent might need to move in with them. It could be something as simple as the fact that there are some good bargains on the market at the time. If any of these conditions are present, that’s an opportunity to discuss and refer The Davis Team.
Then there’s the opposite situation. If a couple has an empty nest, they might be in the market for a smaller home. Do you know someone who is recently widowed or divorced? Perhaps retirement is around the corner for some, which can be another opening. Maybe someone has taken a cut in pay, and needs less expensive quarters. Possibly a friend or the parent of a friend is getting less able to negotiate stairs. They might need to move to a one-floor plan.
Change of Neighborhood
Once people have babies, and those babies begin to grow, the parents will be looking for a place in a good school district. Some people want to move from the country to the city, or vice versa. The convenience of being near shopping and medical care is important to a lot of people, too.
A new job in another part of town may precipitate a move for some people. It could be that a person is in a nice home, but the neighborhood is deteriorating. Maybe some of the people in the area are neglecting upkeep on their property, or the crime rate is increasing. Just hearing someone speak of these conditions can be an opening for a referral (and another chance for the drawing at the end of 2017.)
Are some of your friends “going green”? Maybe they are in the market for homes that are more energy efficient, or that have solar power, water saving downspouts, and other environmentally friendly features.
